Quad Micro Bar

Joe Warren’s QMB, or Quad Micro Bar, is nifty way to seat four in a temporary setting. Washington-based industrial designer Warren observed that “bars and chairs are cumbersome, space-consuming assemblies that take up extra space when they are not in use,” and set out to design a piece of furniture whose footprint was shrinkable.

Awesome Bicycle made all of Wood

It is all hand made. The down tube and seat tube are hollowed with plenty of thickness left not to disturb the surface when planed too much. As a result, it weights about 14kg in total. The thickness is uncertain though, I guess it’s about 6-12mm. It is bonded the half and half into one.

Cube 3D Printer

Even though 3D printers have been all the rage the past few months, it seems like no one actually has one or has even seen one in person. They’re like the Big Foot of technology. Perhaps that’s a testament to the type of people we hang out with more than anything else, but in any case a few 3d printers have allegedly come to the market and at reasonable prices to boot. The Cube 3D Home Printer is one of these and the contemporary design in combination with the plug-and-play connectivity makes it a front runner in the home 3D printer market.

Supra x Harmony Korine Spring Breakers Donavyn

Supra has teamed up with director Harmony Korine on the Spring Breakers Donavyn low top sneaker. Celebrating the releas of his upcoming Spring Breakers film starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine, and James Franco, the two have gotten together on a limited edition sneaker that perfectly reflects the look and feel of the film.

“The Spring Breakers Donavyn is a casually elegant low top, redolent of a dress shoe, with a color story that, at first glance, is as bizarre as some of Harmony’s scripts. But the hot pink and turquoise color story was chosen as a nod to another ubiquitous Florida institution, the hit 80′s TV show Miami Vice. The upper is constructed from a unique, hot pink leather that looks shiny and wet like patent leather, but is actually a premium full-grain leather that technology has only recently been able to furnish with these kinds of extreme hues and textures—this is one of the first shoes in the world to feature this new material. It also has three pairs of laces (black, hot pink, and turquoise), a padded black mesh lining, and it’s constructed on a bright turquoise vulcanized sole with a double layer of turquoise foxing.”

Only 100 pairs of the sneaker were produced and they will release along with the film. Supra is hosting the Hollywood premiere of Spring Breakers on Thursday, March 14, at the ArcLight Theater.

Adidas Introduces Crazyquick Footwear

adidas introduces its Crazyquick performance footwear line, the latest innovation designed specifically to help make athletes quicker. The Crazyquick line includes basketball, football, running and training footwear giving athletes greater controlled flexibility, better traction and optimal foot lock-down. The Crazyquick basketball shoe features four quick zones in the outsole that work with the shoe’s upper to provide maximum traction and flexibility for quick movements on court. The flexibility and direction of the herringbone traction and 17 unique diverging pods play a specific role in allowing players to be quicker. Crazyquick endured the most extensive research and testing of any adidas basketball shoe as adidas examined more than 1,000 discrete basketball movements and tested the shoe’s performance with some of the most elite athletes in the game to develop the technology. Crazyquick basketball and Crazyquick football will be available May 1 on adidas.com and retailers nationwide for $140 USD and $150 USD. Crazyquick training and Crazyquick running will debut later this summer.
